Dr. Scafidi will be giving a very interesting presentation on three topics related to education including the administrative staffing surge, how and why neighborhoods are becoming more racially integrated while schools are becoming more racially segregated, and finally presenting new research which found that parents are more concerned with many other aspects of their children’s educational experiences than they are with standardized test scores. Ben Scafidi is a professor of economics and director of the Economics of Education Policy Center at Georgia College & State University. He is also a senior fellow with the Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice and the director of education policy for the Georgia Community Foundation, Inc.
