Getting hotter in 2010?

By: AF Editors

Kevin Drum writes that the return of El Nino may make 2010 the hottest year on record, taking some wind out of the sails of George Will and others who point to the stability of global temperatures since El Nino helped set a record high in 1998.

Kevin has been after George Will for a while for using a single year — 1998 — as his baseline for global warming. Fair enough. But if 2010 is the hottest year on record, will the other side eagerly indulge the fallacy of making an argument based on a single, unusual year?
