Keith Olbermann's an idiot

Apparently, Keith Olbermann has gone (more) insane, and is threatening to quit MSNBC if he doesn’t become the new anchor at MSNBC. According to the always-reliable Page Six:

Meanwhile, Matthews’ MSNBC cable cohort Olbermann, who was also at the memorial, is “threatening to quit if he isn’t installed as Russert’s replacement,” another insider said. “I know, it sounds ludicrous, but, then, Keith Olbermann is ludicrous.”

Of course, neither of these things will happen: he won’t head Meet the Press and he won’t quit MSNBC. But his fit of pique pretty much fits in with what we learned about Olbermann in this New Yorker profile. He’s an egomaniac and a fraud, and the sooner his star burns out at MSNBC, the better.
