Meet Brandon Livengood

By: Megan Cook

Brandon Livengood is AF’s Marketing and Programs Intern for the summer of 2016. He assists in the growth and maintenance of AF’s social media and promotes AF’s Writing Fellows and Development Fellows programs. Additionally, he helps AF organize and prepare for events and conducts post-event analysis.

Brandon is originally from Loveland, OH. After high school, he stayed in Ohio to pursue a Bachelor’s of Arts in Economics from the University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business. His main interests outside of advancing liberty include trying out new restaurants, reading, and watching FC Cincinnati games.

Brandon has always been interested in politics. He says, “Cincinnati is a business minded community. The ideas of liberty and the harmful effects of government regulation have been common conversation topics at my family’s dinner table.” When he started school at the University of Cincinnati, he was shocked by the amount of free speech and expression that was suppressed by his “progressive” university. As he looked more into the issues of college campuses, he realized American’s freedom is in danger in all sectors of life. This concern drove him to Washington to help advance the liberty movement.

He concludes, saying, “my favorite part about AF is their commitment to identifying and developing tomorrow’s libertarian and conservative leaders. AF does an exceptional job at uniting the potential in our movement through its programs. AF recognizes that we can make an impact regardless of our profession; there’s a place for writers, economics, philosophers, and business people alike.”
