There are some great DC events for you this week to help kick off your February.

Monday, February 2nd

  • Ladies of Liberty Alliance Social

Where: The Loft at 600 F, 600 F Street, NW, Suite 300, Washington, District of Columbia 20004

When: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM

The DC Ladies of Liberty Alliance will be getting together for an evening of fun. Attendees are encouraged to bring a dish to share with 7-8 people and are welcome to bring a friend! The gathering will be held on the 5th floor of The Loft.

  • Alexandria Young Republicans February Meeting with James Antle!

Where: Alexandria Murphy’s, 713 King St, Alexandria, Virginia 22314

When: 7:00 PM

For this month’s meeting the Alexandria YRs will be conducting their annual elections. The social begins at 7:00 PM, followed by formal business and then special guest speaker, James (Jim) Antle of the Daily Caller.

Jim is editor of the Daily Caller News Foundation and a senior editor at the American Spectator. He is also a contributing editor of the American Conservative and the author of “Devouring Freedom: Can Big Government Ever Ben Stopped?” You can find his bio and articles here.

Wednesday, February 4th

  • Wednesday Wake-Up Club Breakfast with Mark Mix

Where: Leadership Institute, 1101 N Highland St, Arlington, Virginia 22201

When: 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM

Held the first Wednesday of each month, these breakfast meetings are a great way to share food and fellowship with friends of the Institute.

This month’s breakfast features Mark Mix, President of the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation. Mr. Mix frequently appears on many national television shows and his writings have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Washington Times, Washington Examiner and National Review.  Mr. Mix often speaks on political technology and grassroots lobbying tactics. He also travels across the country, speaking and training participants in the political process.

  • Tax Foundation Open House

Where: Tax Foundation, 1325 G St NW, Suite 950, Washington, District of Columbia 20005

When: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

The Tax Foundation has outgrown their old space and will be celebrating the move to their new location with drinks, light hors d’oeuvres, and wonderful company! They will also have a photo booth available!

Friday, February 6th

It’s First Friday

Where: TBA near Capitol Hill

When: 5:30 PM – 9 PM

“DC’s Top Conservative Happy Hour” is back again this Friday. It’s an excellent opportunity for conservatives and libertarians to come together and unwind after a long week over some drinks. The location is announced the week of the event but you must be on the list to receive updates and drink specials. Visit here to register!
