Need a stimulus? Get a lobbyist.

By: David Adesnik

Doublethink and Conventional Folly are angling for some of those blogosphere infrastructure funds. But first we need some seed money to hire a lobbyist. AP:

Melanie Sloan, executive director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, said she was troubled that stimulus aid, in effect, could free money that recipients could use to hire lobbyists. But she said she didn’t blame them for doing so.

“You’d really be foolish not to have a lobbyist when everybody else has one,” she said.

Foolish? It would be an unconventional folly!
