AF-NE Has Its Best Week of 2024

By: Anthony Miragliotta

When it comes to the AF-NE, they just can not be beat. Despite living in states not particularly known for freedom and liberty-loving activists, AF-NE members have been moving the needle in their communities, from hosting panel discussions to recruiting new activists, and most importantly, preserving the principles of freedom and liberty!

“After returning to Rhode Island after college, I wanted to find a community that fosters open debate about important issues without being in a political echo chamber.” Said AF-NE Hub Coordinator Sam Adofo. “America’s Future provided that and more. Once I became a member I had access to all their events and their network of impressive people. I loved the experience so much, that I decided to join AF as their Northeast Hub Coordinator.”

AF-NE is packed with talent and is locked and loaded to educate their peers on how important it is to hand down freedom from one generation to the next.

“It is an incredible time to be a part of AF-NE,” said Hub Manager Grant Van Eck. Our members are building their networks, making friends, elevating their skills as activists in their community with dynamic training opportunities, and making lasting memories in summer 2024. One of the most touching things I have heard from a number of individuals is that AF has been like an extended family to them. We are making a difference in the freedom movement as well as in the lives of our members. It is truly amazing!”

In New Jersey, two AF-NE Board Members hosted Leadership Institute (LI) trainings in their respective towns. Justin Musella hosted one in Parsippany at Capisce Trattoria on August 14, while Juliana Lombard hosted one in Jersey City at Brightside Tavern the following day. I attended both of these informative events. Nathan Fatal from LI taught our members about the BACON method, which is a great method to use when looking to put on events.

“It was a pleasure to have LI come out and train the volunteer army we have built in Morris County” said Musella. “Trainings like the ones Nathan and his team offer are essential to growing the liberty movement.”

Many local club leaders do not understand the fundamentals of hosting and putting on events. A lot of work goes into putting on events so it is not a one-man job. The most important rule is to keep your members happy. Once a member is disgruntled and feels their efforts are not being appreciated, they will never come back.

In addition, on August 10, AF-NE hosted a get-together at MJ’s Restaurant Bar and Grill in Long Branch, NJ. This was the southernmost event that the AF-NE ever put on in their region. The place was filled with many other like-minded people in the liberty movement!

And better yet, AF-NE has two stellar events you should put on your radar. On September 7, AF-NE will host its annual pool party in conjunction with the Hudson County Young Republicans at a private residence. Last year this event was a huge success and we can not wait to build on that. Then, on September 28, AF-NE will hold its annual flagship event in Rhode Island, the Laissez Fair at the Polo Match! This event always sells out quickly and everyone who attends has a fantastic time.

“This is going to be our best event yet. You are invited to be part of a new generation of freedom’s leaders this September 28th,” said Larry Gillheeney, AF-NE Hub Director. “Join us at the Newport Polo match for a festival dedicated to liberty with all of your friends at America’s Future from around the country. I can’t wait to share with you all the great stuff we have coming up. Get your tickets now, because there’s only a handful left!”

Tickets will sell out, so do not wait! Get your ticket to the most epic edition of polo today!
