Development Fellows Program

 

Ready to take your skills to the next level?

AF is accepting applications for our Summer Fellowship thru September 1st. 

 

 

Are you an aspiring fundraiser under 25? If accepted to AF’s Development Fellows Program, you’ll gain access to:

  • one-on-one mentoring
  • networking with DC’s top fundraisers
  • training on direct mail, online fundraising, major gifts, and more!

Do you know someone else who fits the bill? Successfully refer a fellow and email jaci@americasfuture.org with their name. Do that and you could win a FREE ticket to our Annual Gala!

Sessions are held Monday evenings and include DC’s top development professionals as well as skill-building workshops. AF’s program will connect you to experts in your field and distinguish you as a stand-out fundraiser. Food and beverages are provided during the sessions.

Applicants should submit the following form no later than September 1st ,along with:

  • resume and cover letter
  • two writing samples (no more than five pages each)

Discussion Topics include:

Direct Mail
Online Fundraising
Telemarketing and Events 
Major Donors: donor research / planned giving/ grant writing 
Utilizing your board & Creating a host committee 
Donor Meeting: get them, prepare for them, and make the ask

The fall session begins on September 12th and ends on October 24th. There will not be class on Columbus Day (October 10th).  Any questions should be directed to jaci@americasfuture.org.
