Let's Talk Student Loans

AFF’s “Let’s Talk” series is in full swing, along with the chance to win $500.

Young Americans face steep education costs, with little hope of relief.  Students are getting more and more fed up, yet politicians seem to be reading from the same script. So how can we discuss student loans in a way that is both compassionate and pragmatic?

Let’s Talk Student Loans will offer:

  • a crash course of the facts
  • communication tips
  • a chance to practice your argument skills in a small group setting.

Space is limited to 30 participants. There will be a light reception before the workshop. Any attendee is eligible to compete for the $500 prize at the competition in March 2016.

Featured Speakers:

Bob Ewing, Director of Media Relations at The Mercatus Center at George Mason University

Lindsey Burke, Will Skillman Fellow in Education at The Heritage Foundation
