As summer fellowships, programs, and internship deadlines are fast approaching, AF would like to get you up to speed on opportunities young professionals may be interested in.

Pioneer Institute 2012 Better Government Competition
This competition asks individuals to submit a paper of no more than 5 pages on the topics of: Regulations, Urban Redevelopment, Transportation, Interstate Commerce, Banking and Finance, Healthcare and Insurance, and Education. The grand prize winner is awarded $10,000, and four runners-up each receive $1000. The winning papers will be showcased in June. The deadline for submitting your paper is Monday, April 9th, 2012.

Mercatus Center MA Fellowship Program

The Mercatus Center is now accepting applications for its 2012 MA Fellowship Program. The fellowship is targeted toward students with an interest in working in public policy. The two year program offers full tuition towards an MA in applied economics from George Mason University, a generous stipend, and experience publishing policy papers.

Liberty at Work – Charles Koch Institute
From coast to coast, the study and advancement of economic freedom continues at state based organizations. Liberty at Work is a web based professional education and training program for individuals interested in advancing economic freedom. The next Liberty at Work will run from July 30, 2012 to May 17, 2013. Don’t miss out on this opportunity! The deadline is May 1, 2012.

Institute for Justice Mafucci Fellowship
The Institute for Justice is seeking fellows to assist in exciting research projects, help track controversies and legislation across the country, and provide valuable administrative support. Cato Institute Paid Internship

Choose from a variety of topics and fields that interest you through the Cato Internship Program. This full time internship program pays a $700 stipend per month. The deadline to apply for Fall 2012 is June 1st.
