Position Summary
ACI is seeking a Finance & Insurance Policy Analyst to lead research on how financial regulations, lending policies, and insurance market interventions impact consumers. This role will focus on topics like credit access, lending regulations, risk-based pricing, and consumer protections in financial services.
ACI has a strong preference for candidates who are based in, or able to relocate to Arlington, VA, but hybrid or virtual arrangements may be possible for exceptional candidates. The Analyst will report to ACI’s President.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and write reports, articles, and policy briefs on financial and insurance-related topics.
- Track and analyze legislative and regulatory developments affecting consumer finance.
- Provide expert commentary on issues such as credit markets, lending caps, and insurance reforms.
- Engage with policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders to advocate for market-driven solutions.
- Represent ACI in public forums, media interviews, and panel discussions.
- Other relevant tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in financial policy analysis, insurance regulation, or related fields.
- Ability to travel on occasion, up to 10%.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience interpreting economic data.
- Alignment with the mission of ACI.
- Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations and their impact on consumers.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, finance, public policy, or a related field preferred but not required.

- Competitive salary $60k-75k
