Learn it, Live it, Love it: The Carly Rae Edition

By: Cindy Cerquitella

Every other week I’ll be sharing a few things that have inspired me or made me think. Enjoy, and let me know what you’re learning, living, or loving over on Facebook!

Learn It:

Here at AF, we like to find the best, brightest and most exciting talent around the country and give them a stage from which to shine. That means it’s very necessary for me to Be Better at Parties, so I can make sure I don’t miss out on meeting any of you. Maybe you’ll find that handy guide useful too.

We often hear talk of the online media giants being biased in their algorithms. The government has even gone as far as to host hearings to review these claims. Google sent an open letter to their team to make their values very clear.

Live It:

On September 28th a massive 7.5 earthquake struck the islands of Indonesia. An estimated 1400 people have been killed, and the damage is unimaginable for these small islands. This one strikes close to home, as I have dear friends living in the country, and got the chance to visit a couple of years ago. Here are ways we can help them begin to recover now. And this is an amazing think tank doing work in Jakarta to make the country more prosperous in the long run. Supporting those in need now, while investing in future growth is my idea of smart philanthropy.

Love it:

In a wonderful victory for people just trying to live out their passions, or earn an honest living, New Mexico’s governor signed an executive order this week eliminating the need for most professional licenses. Now all you tour guides, interior decorators, and hair braiders are free to pursue your life’s calling!

On Sunday, I’ll be at the All Things Go Fall Classic, will you be there too? If so, call me, maybe?
