Rhode Island joins the fight for freedom. Where should we go next?

By: AF Editors

It’s the 43rd least free state in the Union, but for these Rhode Islanders that’s no reason to give up the fight. In fact, it’s the reason to fight even harder for freedom and liberty in their state.

That’s why this month, the Rhode Island chapter of America’s Future Foundation was launched in Providence. Fifty young professionals gathered to network and hear from local liberty leaders, like Rep. Blake Filippi, Minority Whip in the Rhode Island General Assembly.

In a state burdened by regulations and big government programs, young leaders, like AF Rhode Island chapter leader Grant Van Eck, are critical to bringing the ideas of liberty and limited government to other young professionals together at fun, innovative, and engaging events.

“AF is the right organization to bring individuals in Rhode Island together who believe in the constitution, free markets, property rights, and liberty.  AF Rhode Island is a place where motivated young professionals, who understand or want to learn about freedom, gather to grow their network, share ideas, and support their fellow patriots,” says Van Eck.

You can help spread these these values in your own state and community. Join an AF chapter near you, become a board member of your chapter, or volunteer at events. If there’s not a chapter near you, don’t you think there should be? You can be the one to launch it, and we’d love to help you. Become a chapter leader now to bring your vision of a culture permeated with a love of liberty to life in your community.
