Learn it, Live it, Love it: The Scrambler Edition

By: Cindy Cerquitella

Learn it:
While the debate surrounding immigration may never go away, it helps to know the history and context of America’s relationship with immigration and the people joining us on this side of the border. Alex Nowrasteh (Cato Institute) teamed up with the team at Law and Sausage, to provide a Brief History of Immigration Restrictions in the USA in comic form.

Live it:
Obviously, if you’re in the DC area, or in town for CPAC, be sure to join us tonight at Reaganpalooza at Blackwall Hitch in Alexandria. Tickets at the door are $20. See you there!

If you happen to be in North Carolina, the AF-Raleigh chapter will be hosting an Innovation in Education Summit Saturday.

Love it:
Three cheers for the Institute for Justice for their unanimous victory in the Supreme Court last week! Thanks to their work and the bravery of Tyson Timbs, who stood up against this practice, cities and states must now also abide by the 8th Amendments stipulation against excessive fines. This strikes a major blow against law enforcement’s practice of civil asset forfeiture (otherwise known as… highway robbery).
