Register Now Whether speaking to a group of 400 in an auditorium or a group of four at the dinner table, you want to be confident and persuasive. Don’t let Americans' most common fear -- the fear of public speaking -- keep you from advancing in your career. America's Future Foundation is partnering with the Leadership Institute for a Public Speaking Workshop on June 14 and 21 where you can learn how to become an effective, confident public speaker. The workshop includes instruction, course materials, and dinner. It's going to be held at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, just a couple blocks from the Farragut North metro. You'll receive practical lessons, in-class exercises, and personalized feedback to make you a better, more confident public speaker. Specifically, you will learn how to: Deliver speeches professionally Overcome common fears about speaking in public Organize and prepare effective speeches Think on your feet in impromptu speeches Your instructor will be Ian Ivey. He is a communications professional with decades of experience in public speaking instruction. You'll benefit from his insight, real-world examples, and practical advice and tips you can start using right away. Specifically, Ian has been training people in teaching, communications, and argumentation for more than 20 years. He was the Director of Communications at the Leadership Institute, and now is a Senior Management Advisor at the General Services Administration.
