Minimum Wage: How Does it Work in the Real World?

July 18, 2017 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Kaktus Brewing Co.

2929 Monte Vista Boulevard Northeast, Albuquerque,

Join America’s Future and the Center for the Study of Liberty for an evening of learning and discussion about the minimum wage with others in the local community.

Dr. Antony Davies of Duquesne University will present an engaging explanation of what really happens when a minimum wage is put into effect. Are people made better off? What are the best ways to go about improving the lives of those who make less than or above the minimum wage?

Stick around to discuss this topic with Dr. Davies and others over a beer after the talk!

Schedule:
5:30 PM Welcome/Reception
6:00 PM “The Minimum Wage” by Dr. Antony Davies, Duquesne University
7:00-8:00 PM Reception

The purpose of the event isn’t to give you solutions, but tools to use and the space to discuss with experts and with peers. We hope you will leave with new ideas to consider, stimulated to learn more on your own and equipped to have thoughtful conversations beyond this evening.
