Join a Local Chapter

AFF chapters are active in cities across the country. Join a chapter near your campus to gain knowledge and to become a member of AFF’s huge and growing network. Attend education, networking, and professional development events throughout the school year. If AFF is not active in your city yet, help establish a new chapter.

Build Your Resume

Submit articles to Doublethink magazine—AFF’s signature publication—to pen and polish original work and gain exposure as an up-and-coming writer or policy analyst. Or contribute to “Free the Future,” AFF’s professional development blog. Click here to find out more about how you can get published with AFF.

 When in Washington

Make the most of your time in DC and attend special student-oriented AFF events during your summer internship! Take a crash course in creative networking and how to land your dream job in the highly competitive DC market at professional development seminars. Become an AFF member to receive invitations to members-only events like briefings with high-level leaders and top policy experts.

Intern at AFF

Contribute to our mission as an AFF intern! AFF hosts interns via the Koch Internship Program, the Fund for American Studies, Students for Liberty, and the National Journalism Center.

A comprehensive program of student-oriented activities—collaborative events, Doublethink and “Free the Future” publication opportunities, and local chapter involvement—provides students, like you, benefits aligned with their interests and goals.
