My friend Matt Continetti has his second book coming out this very day: The Persecution of Sarah Palin is available on Amazon for 34% off the cover price. I’ve already read it, and I can assure you that it’s well-researched and well-written, providing the first real in-depth look at Palin’s experience with the McCain campaign. There’s some really interesting stuff in here.

I’d say that it’s probably unlikely to sway any of the Palin haters out there, but it’s a useful corrective to the media construction of Palin in the wake of her selection as the VP. There was a reason that Ross, Reihan, and others were really into her before 2008. She is a reformist conservative who took on the most powerful (and corrupt) elements of her own party — and beat them.

So give it a read. You won’t be disappointed.
