Alert: No sense of irony

Rolling Stone is ending its oversized format with its October 30, 2008 issue and moving to a standard magazine size: As editor Jann Wenner puts it, “Like the man we are featuring on the cover for the third time in seven months [Barack Obama] … we embrace the idea of change.”

Not enough, apparently. Are they competing with Oprah now?
