Shakira Jackson is the Acting Chapter Leader of AF-Philadelphia. She is a three-year graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she studied History and Political Science. As an active volunteer and political activist in the city of Philadelphia community, working to bring each environmental coalition together is her biggest aspiration. While serving as the Director of Advocacy and Community Engagement for Mental Health on Purpose and hosting a video series called “Capitol Pink,” Jackson continues to challenge society’s status quo to make social change. Jackson is a proactive communicator, environmentalist, fossil fuels activist, and civic engagement political commentator. Jackson’s campaign work and research experience have inspired a diligent work ethic, and her drive for community organizing feeds her passion for one day living in a world that enhances the fruitfulness of the earth and all of its inhabitants.
