Join AF-Detroit’s relaunch event for tacos, cocktails, and a robust discussion on the importance of community mental health!
First drinks and tacos on us while we discuss what we can do to strengthen the mental health of the community. We will talk about various mental health concerns in the Metro Detroit area and how we as a community can discover solutions. This is the first of many dialogues that will lead to change through service activities.
This discussion will be led by AF-Detroit Chapter Leader Elijah Richardson, accompanied by specialists Dr. Feroze and Dr. Mensah.
About Dr. Feroze
Dr. Feroze is a licensed Psychologist and Owner/Clinical Director of Michigan Psychological & Consulting Services since 1990, with 2 clinics; in Taylor and Bloomfield Hills Michigan. She specializes in Forensic Psychology which includes testifying on high profile cases in Civil, Criminal and Federal Courts. She also does forensic evaluations to include but not limited to; competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility, competency to Waive Miranda Rights, Presentence, and License Restoration, and conducts evaluations of police officers. Dr. Feroze has a special interest in Women’s Battery Syndrome, Child Abuse, Depression, and Anxiety.
About Dr. Mensah
Dr. Mensah completed his doctorate in nutrition and natural medicine and his family medicine residency at National University of Health Sciences in Illinois with a special interest in Men’s Health. Dr. Mensah was one of a handful of graduates nationwide to be accepted to fellowship in integrative oncology. Following his fellowship, in partnership with urology in Michigan, he intends to sub-specialize in prostate health and survivorship. Dr. Mensah was initially drawn to natural medicine by witnessing profound recovery in patients using novel and leading edge natural therapies to heal from the inside out. As a doctor, these experiences inspired him to be intentional about combining natural and conventional medicine to bring people individualized, evidence-based, comprehensive, holistic care.
