Public Education Panel

July 23, 2018 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Tobacco Road Sports Cafe & Brewery

505 West Jones St., Raleigh, NC 27603

We are excited to co-host a panel with Liberty on the Rocks (LOTR) to discuss what innovations or steps can be taken to improve public schools in North Carolina.

This will not be your typical school choice vs. public school conversation. We will explore, specifically, how public schools can be more responsive to parents, how greater power can be given to teachers, ways to produce better outcomes, and more. The event will feature three panelists from various, opposing viewpoints–two of whom are themselves public school teachers. You will also have an opportunity to ask the panelists YOUR questions.

More information about the panelists will be published in the event feed on Facebook.

LOTR is a grass-roots organization dedicated to promoting political education. We focus on helping individuals to become better informed, connected and involved with important issues through lively conversation and camaraderie. Our group is very diverse including local community activists, college students, professionals, and folks from all and no party affiliation, etc. There’s a place for any level of experience or desire to get involved. In hosting this panel, Liberty on the Rocks is not endorsing any party or candidate, but trying to present a diverse and wholistic perspective on the topic of public education.
