Hawk or Dove? AF Austin Discusses Foreign Policy Intervention
To intervene or not to intervene … that was the question posed at a spirited debate recently hosted by AFF-Austin in conjunction with the University of Texas’s LBJ School for Public Policy. Dubbed Hawk or Dove: A Foreign Policy Debate, the audience packed the room and was fully engaged, participating in a 1-hour long Q&A session following the presentation by panelists. 2014 LBJ School grad, Rachel Hoff was one of two students on the panel, which also included Mario Loyola, Senior Fellow at the Texas Public Policy Foundation. Joseph Morse rounded out the 4-member panel, who along with moderator Brendan Steinhauser, both serve on the AF-Austin’s board. The debate was preceded and followed by conversations over drinks, and there was no shortage of enthusiasm about the topic of discussion and what lies ahead for AF-Austin.
