Lakers it is
At least as far as Leo’s concerned. It was something of a question, as I noted in that piece for the Washington Times I wrote last week:
At least we know where Mr. Nicholson stands; another traveling star is something of a mystery. Leonardo DiCaprio, a Staples Center fixture for the past decade or so, has been seen around the Garden recently. Perhaps it’s an aftereffect of working on the Boston-set Martin Scorsese epic “The Departed.” Or maybe he’s just trying to catch a glimpse of ex-girlfriend Bundchen, most recently linked to Mr. Brady. Whatever the reason, there’s a chance we’ll see him on both coasts just like Mr. Nicholson.
But which team’s hat will he be wearing?
In the second celebrity montage of the evening (that I saw, at least) they showed Leo, decked out in a Lakers hat. Good man.
As far as the series goes…the terrible officiating in the second half of the first game and the first half of the second game has been something else. But the Lakers haven’t done themselves any favors by settling for jumper after jumper. They aren’t getting to the hoop at all, and are getting outmuscled on the rebounding side of things. Leon Powe also appears to be the greatest player of all time. Who knew?
