Maybe the media’s not reporting it because the Pentagon asked them not to
I think Andrew’s heart is in the right place here and here, but I also think he’s missing a very crucial point: Maybe the media isn’t reporting on this because the Pentagon asked them not to report on this out of fear for what would happen to the soldier.
Remember when that Times reporter was kidnapped a while back? And the NY Times asked no one to report on it because media coverage could endanger his life? And remember how some on the right (including myself) were indignant that they would squash stories on one of their own while continuously putting the lives of soldiers at risk by reporting other such stories? Well, maybe the media finally got the message. Just a hunch.
