Introducing Caleb Stokes, AF’s New GO! Program Manager!

By: AF Editors

Meet our new GO! Program Manager! We’re so excited to start working with Caleb Stokes, who will oversee and manage our new GO! Fellowship, helping train and teach young leaders and activists how to best serve their communities.

Caleb, originally from Charleston, SC, is a communication trainer, public speaking coach, and theatre artist! He has performed more than 600 trainings in 40+ states, and has worked with dozens of state legislators, Congressional candidates, local elected officials, and thousands of activists nationwide. He now lives in Houston, TX with his wife Lyda and their young son.

Get to know Caleb below!

1. Why did you decide to work with America’s Future?

The dedication to partnering with communities and supporting liberty-minded initiatives outside of government is what first attracted me to work with America’s Future. However, after being introduced to the high quality of fellows and partners within the organization, working with AF members is what excites me most.

2. Career advice in three words?

Support others constantly.

3. Define leadership in one sentence

Leadership isn’t about managing, or mentoring, or coaching, or providing guidance — leadership is about empathy; all the rest is secondary.

4. What books/magazines are you currently reading? Any podcasts?

Stephen King’s, Salem’s Lot. A remake is set to be released later this year on HBO Max, so I’m doing my best to prep. I also just finished The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni. I highly recommend!!!

5. What do you wish you could go back and tell yourself at the beginning of your career?

It might sound cliche, but always find time to be with family. At just a decade, my career is still relatively young, but even so, I can say I wish I had spent more time with my dad. And my Uncle. And everyone in between. Take that extra weekend to go home. You won’t regret it.

6. What’s your morning routine?

Dress the baby. Caffeine. Feed the baby. Caffeine. Drop the baby off at daycare. Dunkin’ Donuts.
