Olympics roundup

The Olympics have drawn to a close; I think it’s time for a roundup.

According to the medal counter I subscribe to(3 points for a gold, two for a silver, one for a bronze), the ChiComs won 223-220. I, however, reject these numbers. Considering that at least one gold medal should be stripped from the Chinese for their use of an underage gymnast, and that the U.S. should have had at least one silver upgraded to a gold as a result, the real score should be 221-220. USA! USA! USA!

I think we can safely say that NBC filled in for Leni Riefenstahl quite nicely. The peacock did a nice job of shoveling the Party’s dirt under the rug, didn’t they? Instead of a sappy puff piece on some athlete, maybe we could get a closer look at the 70 year old women sentenced to hard labor for APPLYING TO HOLD A LEGAL PROTEST. You stay classy, you ChiCom SOBs.

I will give NBC credit for doing such a nice job with the HD broadcasts. The land of oppression has never looked so sharp.

Also: Good job by the USA basketball team. A couple of those games were closer than I might have liked, but still…a gold is a gold.
