Sympathy Fail
So, have you seen this interrogation video of Omar Khadr, a teenager being held at Guantanamo Bay? Kind of brutal stuff. Look at him weep! It’s very sad.
Of course, what that BBC clip doesn’t tell you is why he’s being held at Guantanamo: for chucking a grenade that killed one special forces soldier and blinded another. The BBC also fails to mention that, when captured, the 15 year old was near death; he was resussitated and brought back to health by the evil Americans. Or that his father is an al Qaeda financier. Or that he was a FIFTEEN YEAR OLD ACTIVELY PARTICIPATING IN A WAR ZONE.
So uh…yeah. This kid made some pretty awful choices in life. His crying for his mother, however, won’t bring that American soldier back to life. You’ll have a pretty tough time convincing me to feel a shred of sympathy for this terrorist.
