Will the GOP stop the runaway stimulus bill?

What if the GOP proposed something that would actually stimulate the economy, like repealing capital gains taxes and eliminating the ceiling on tax-deductible donations to IRAs? Think about it; when faced with a choice between putting some money you’ve saved into the stock market or losing a quarter of it to taxes upfront, what would you do?
