AF Around the Country Celebrates the 4th of July
We have AF members all over the U.S. who are excited to celebrate the 4th of July in their cities’ special way. Check out what we’ll be up to today!
Washington, D.C.
As far as Fourth of July celebrations go, DC really does do it best. What else would you expect from our nations capital?
DC doesn’t have a reputation for being a friendly city… And that might be true. But what’s great about certain holidays, Independence Day included, is that the city really does come alive with our kindest and most endearing folks.
Bars open their windows, up. People are dancing in the street in red white and blue. There are patriotic bar specials, fundraisers for veterans and just a general sense of well-being – despite the crowds and the heat!
It’s as if the entire city is heaving a big sigh of relief as we watch the fireworks show. As the bursts illuminate the Lincoln Memorial, we remember why we came to this city and what this city represents. It’s the capital of the freest nation in the world and that’s something we can come to get her from both sides of the aisle to celebrate.

Dallas, Texas
There is no better place to celebrate liberty and independence than in the Lone Star State, and there is no better city in Texas to celebrate than Dallas. Independence celebrations pop up weeks in advance across the city of Dallas and the greater DFW-metro area – including America Future-Dallas’ very own ‘Red, White, & Brews’ event!
Over the 4th of July weekend, the city will become overwhelmingly patriotic with massive light-displays on landmarks such as the Omni Hotel and Reunion Tower. Peak 4th of July in Dallas, however, is the annual Kaboom Town Firework show just outside of Dallas in Addison, TX. For more than 30 years, Kaboom Town has undoubtedly put on the nation’s most impressive 4th of July celebration and Firework show! This event brings in out-of-state travelers from all over the country who can pick and choose from the 200+ restaurants holding Kaboom town-affiliated events and watch parties!
While our state usually touts our Texas-Pride, at the beginning of July each year, we come together to celebrate our American-Pride.

Bristol, Rhode Island
Red, white, and blue. These painted stripes point the way down the centerlines of main street in Bristol, Rhode Island— home of the oldest Fourth of July Parade in America. My day is filled with these patriotic colors.
From the bright red of lobsters in a traditional clam boil (no time for a full bake,) to the white of an icey frozen Del’s lemonade, to the harsh blue of the Atlantic at the sprawling Misquamicut beach… there’s-nowhere in the world like the Ocean State on the 4th July.
The 4th is a day for community, connection, and maybe even a cocktail or two… all the things that make our country special, but more than anything else, this is a day that’s about celebrating our freedom and remembering that each American deserves a fair chance to live up to their limitless potential.
The spectacular beauty of Rhode Island, like much of the Northeast, hides the challenges we face. The out-of-control government run by an elitist agenda has made it too big of a challenge for many young people to live the prosperous lives they hope for, and are held back from reaching life’s milestones, like buying a house, or starting a family — but, this can change by adopting the proven solutions that liberty brings.
That’s why I’m inviting you to get involved with America’s Future. Everyday, our community works to defend your liberty and celebrate our country’s values. We do this by building the skills of the next generation of leaders through training, networking, and mentorship. You have the power to make a difference, join us.
