Bill Moyers, our nation turns its lonely eyes to you

By: David Polansky

Bill Moyers has always irritated me, kind of in the way that people who smoke clove cigarettes irritate me. So, naturally, I was pleased to hear of the recent revelations of his sordid early political life.

Yet of all the schadenfreude that has come pouring out in its wake, Andrew Ferguson’s article is probably my favorite, if only for its priceless quotation on Moyers from Barry Goldwater:

“Every time I see him, I get sick to my stomach and want to throw up”

He wasn’t one to mince words, was he?
