Swing Vote, American Teen, and Hard Times at Douglass High

By: Sonny Bunch

Two reviews for your reading pleasure today: Kevin Costner’s new flick, Swing Vote over at The Washington Times,* and a look at two new documentaries about high school life, American Teen and Hard Times at Douglass High, over at The Weekly Standard.

I’ll save you $10 by showing you the funniest part of Swing Vote right now: this fake campaign ad from liberal Democrat Donald Greenleaf (Dennis Hopper) in which he flip flops from being pro choice to pro life. It’s the only part of the film in which I actually LOLed.

*The online version of the Swing Vote review seems to be missing the first two sentences. They are: “Kevin Costner has two basic settings. There’s epic Kevin, a crusader out for justice or peace or some such.”
