Meet Nicholas VandenNieuwenhof, AF’s Development Officer
America’s Future is excited to welcome the newest member of our team, Nick VandenNieuwenhof!
Nick is the development officer for America’s Future. A true leader and public servant, Nick has spent his entire career dedicated to building passionate, mission-focused organizations and coalitions from the ground up that cultivate the next generation of leaders and advocates. Nick started his career in consulting and fundraising, maintaining several positions in the nonprofit and political sector. He worked for one of Phoenix’s top political consulting firms, where he managed the campaigns of several winning Republicans in municipal and statewide elections. He was an inaugural advancement director for Turning Point USA’s (TPUSA) Campus Victory Project, an initiative to create ideological diversity on college campuses across the nation and develop future leaders. He quickly moved up the TPUSA ladder and served as the Enterprise Director, overseeing national program operations as well all of the program’s fundraising efforts. He also co-founded New Way Out, a nationally recognized non-profit with the initiatives to provide mental health resources to college and high school students across the country. A graduate from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science.

1. What do you enjoy about your career path so far, and why?
What I have enjoyed most about my career path so far has been all the wonderful and intelligent people I have been able to work with and meet along the way. People who have been able to accomplish some truly amazing feats and have been able overcome some very powerful disadvantages. I have also enjoyed being a part of, and lucky enough to be a part of organizations that truly make an impact and a difference in this country.
2. Why did you decide to work with America’s Future?
I decided to work for America’s future because I know how important it is to support and directly help the next generation of leaders in this country.
3. What are you most excited about in the role?
I am mostly excited to meet and create really strong relationships with some of the biggest stakeholders in this country. I believe the work that is being done by America’s Future around the country is truly inspiring, and I look forward to waking up every day to let everyone who is willing to listen know all the amazing things we are doing.
4. What helpful skills do you have that people could ask you for advice on?
I am very good at creating strong business professional relationships, and would love to help anyone that needs some fine tuning on the issue.
5. Book recommendations?
I recommend Own the Day, Own the Night by Aubrey Marcus and The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra. Both books gave me a new lens and perspective on how to operate in everyday life.
6. Coffee order?
I don’t drink coffee, but I will have a kale and strawberry smoothie everyday.
7. Favorite places to travel?
I am a quarter dutch so I love visiting my family’s house in the Netherlands anytime I get the chance.
